Lepanto Cultural Center

Centro Culturale Lepanto (CCL) is an organization established by lay Catholics who decided to mobilise in defense of the principles, ambiences and institutions of Christian civilisation

More in general, CCL is determined to oppose cultural relativism and "progressivism", both in the political and moral-religious domains, as factors of a process of secularisation and dechristianisation which seems to be harbinger to a future persecution against the Church. These onslaughts are promoted mainly by socialist and libertarian forces and are favoured by the de facto support of the media.

CCL vision is based on the Christian social doctrine, as traditionally taught by the Church, particularly by the Magisterium of the Popes. Its action follows the counter-revolutionary strategy as epitomised by Prof. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira in his essay "Revolution and Counter-revolution" (1959)

In the last 25 years, CCL has been in the forefront of the above struggle, by intervening with clarity, forcefullness and far-sightedness on the main topical national and international issues. It has done so through public awareness campaigns, whose dramatic urgency has been by now generally acknowledged.

CCL is led by Fabio Bernabei, its president, and since its establishment is independent of economic powers and political parties, simply relying on the free contribution, both operational and financial, by its co-operators, supporters and friends.
